I came across Atlas in downtown San Mateo while waiting to have breakfast at Firstwatch. My son, then 6 and skaeboarder, of course wanted to go in and check out the store, and who can blame him. It's has an appealing storefront and the entire store is just eye-candy whether you're a skateboarder or not! I personally, love the clothing and the assortment of cool shoes!

Besides all of that, the best part of the store visit was talking with Mike, one of the co-owners, whose passion lead him to opening the store in the first place. An avid skateboarder, turned his passion into profit and a way to help youth through the YMCA's skateboarding camp. Mike teaches every summer.
