Born and raised in Saigon, Laura Herbuveaux learned the treasured recipes handed down from mother to daughter through the generations. Acknowledged as the family chef at an early age, she perfected those recipes much to the delight of her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Her traditional Vietnamese dishes, already influenced by over one hundred years of the French colonial presence, have now been embraced by a California flair that pleases the palate with subtle, yet distinctive flavors.

The artistry in Laura's Vietnamese dishes is the balance she maintains in her recipes that allows one to identify and enjoy each particular ingredient as it contributes its individual essence to the final creation.
